Have You Been Ripped Off by Claims of Free Range?

Be aware that the huge demand for free range product has brought out quite a few scammers willing to cash in on this demand by calling their product free range.

Free Range is a fledgling industry and demand is outstripping supply.  This is no excuse for producers or retailers to mislabel their product.

Complaints can be lodged with your states department of Consumer Affairs or Fair Trading if you find sellers misrepresenting their pork products.  The more these departments here about these issues the more likely they are to act so please, if you have paid good money for a product that was not free range after all, write them a letter or do it online.

Be especially careful at Farmers Markets.  If the Market is not listed here,
ask the seller lots of questions and get the name of their pork producer.
